Obituary:
Steve Carroll, age 58, a resident of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Mr. Carroll was born June 24, 1953, in Devonia. He lived in LaFollette and Jacksboro before moving to Knoxville in 1989.

Steve served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His hobbies include outdoor activities, fishing and coin collecting.

He was employed by J.B. Long Mining Equipment Company for the past twenty-four years. Steve was a member of I.A.M.S. Local Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Vivian Carroll and by a close friend, Hugh Rogers.

Steve is survived by his wife, Joann McKamey Carroll of Knoxville, by daughters; Angela Reed, Myra Ann Carroll and Denise Loope and husband, Denver all of Knoxville and by 9 grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers; James Dan Carroll and wife, Sandra of Devonia, Charles Ray Carroll and wife, Mary Ann of Oliver Springs and Michael Carroll of Oliver Springs, by sisters; Carolyn Aslinger and husband, Bayless of Lake City, Iris Lynn Seiber of Oliver Springs and Wanda Byrge and husband, Scott of Harriman, and by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2012, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Charles Bowers officiating. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
