Paul Douglas “Doug” Brown, Sr., age 68, went home to be with Lord on March 17, 2020.
He was born June 10, 1951.He lived his life in this area and proudly served two years in the U.S. Marine Corp. Doug retired from Techmer PM after fifteen years. Doug was a Lay Minister of the Church of God of Prophecy and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Clinton, TN. He enjoyed going to church, muscle cars, but most of all he loved spending time with family, especially his great grand babies.
Doug truly loved the Lord and you could see it through the life he lived. His hearts desire was to see people led to the Lord. He left a special verse for us to carry us through which was Psalm 91.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Ruby Brown; by brothers, Clyde Wayne Brown and Terry Lee Brown.
Doug is survived by his wife of 48 years Rhonda Brown; by his children, Paul Douglas Brown, Jr. and wife Karen and Brian Lee Brown and wife Tiffany Patty all of Oliver Springs; by grandchildren, Jonathan Brown (Kaye), Tisa Brown, Maddy Brown, Baylee Leffew and husband Nathan, Jayla Serenity Grace “Gracie” Brown; by very special great–grandchildren, Addy and Bentley Justice and Brynlee “Lynni” Leffew; by brothers, Jimmy Brown and wife Connie of Hixson, Larry Brown and wife Lisa of Oliver Springs, Steve Brown and wife Lisa of Clinton; by sisters, Alma Lively and husband Billy of Oliver Springs, Wilma Brown Griffith (Bobby) of Oliver Springs, also by special friends, Rev. Steve Hensley, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 22, 2020 between the hours of 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. Funeral services will be held at 8:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial and graveside service will be held Monday, March 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
