Nina Blankenship Burnette, age 87, of Oliver Springs, Tennessee went to be with her savior on September 2, 2021 at Methodist Medical Center. Nina was born June 7, 1934 in Ervin, Tennessee. She moved to Oliver Springs as a child and continued to live in the area. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nina was of Baptist faith. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church in Wartburg.
Mrs. Burnette was preceded in death by her parents Henry Clay Blankenship, Bonnie Kate Edwards Blankenship; brothers Howard, Earl, Bruce, Eugene, Jesse Blankenship; sisters Dorothy Faye Yearwood, Carolyn Blankenship; children Terry Wayne Burnette, Bobby Burnette, Greg Burnette, Sherie Burnette McKamey Mullins.
Survived by daughters Judy and Horace Pratt of Clinton, Susie Rhodey of Oak Ridge; grandchildren Michael Pratt, Michelle Davis, Shine Roberts, Bobby Ray Burnette Jr., Dalene Brown, Randall Rhodey, Nikki Rhodey, Harley Burnette, Brandon McKamey; very special granddaughter Bella Mullins; brother Dwight Blankenship; sister Brenda Gibson of Harriman; 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren; and several special family members.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 5:00-7:00PM. A service will follow at 7:00PM with Pastor David Phillips and Brother Greg Overton officiating.
A graveside will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, at Oliver Springs Cemetery.
